JULY 2018 WRAP UP, well that was fun !! For the month of July we went 19 for 40 on blue marlin. We caught 5 fish over 400 lbs ( 750,650,640,550,450) a few 300’s and a bunch of rats to fill the gaps, we were rigged & hunting for big Julie so our Hook up to catch rate suffered on the smaller ones, but for me quality over quantity is how I prefer it. We We were stoked on that month of fishing and looking forward to much more to come as we head into what should be an epic autumn and Fall. Big thanks to my crew @jayblesphoto and the biggest thanks of all to all our charters. Without you guys we would be sitting at the dock, thanks for coming down and fishing with us. Kona Fishing July 30th.
1 for 4 yesterday on Blue Marlin but also had 2 other blues wack the short corner around. We have had a few days off the water so was good to get bck out there and find a some. Mostly super hyper rats except for a really nice one that we had all over our short corner XXL Lure at the same time a 200 lb rat was jumping around on our long rigger. The big girl that exploded on the short corner lure, knocked it down hard but never got hooked & never came bck… next . @koyalures808 opelu head bullet in green flash getting lots of action yesterday. Kona Fishing Report July 26th.
It’s July 26th and there have been 3 Grander’s caught with in the Hawaii island chain (Kauai 2, Oahu 1 ) & Kona has not even started with the big girls. Like I keep saying, Kona right now is a ticking time bomb and when it goes off big girl style which could be today, tomorrow or August or September, well you’ll be kicking yourself if you decided to do the kona trip “next year”. Kona Fishing Report July 25th.
Went 1 for 2 yesterday on Blue Marlin and got one Ono for dinner. We slowly picking away at a few of them but It was definitely a little more difficult out there yesterday, we had to work pretty hard for the bites but eventually got our daily #bluemarlin. I’m excited to see what today will bring, Kona is a ticking time bomb at the moment, something very big is gonna get caught here soon by someone

2 for 3 on the Blues today catching an estimated 300 and 200 lb blue. Had a nice one on first thing in the AM that definitely looked over 600 but she came unhooked after about 15 min of chasing her around. July 22 Fishing Report
2 for 4 on blue marlin, small ones but did jump off one that looked 400. Also 0-1 on spear chuckers. Bit of a funky day yesterday but felt like we got back on the program today and the current seemed a bit more decisive and favoring a few good fish haunts.
